Cherishing the Gospel of Jesus Christ…
God-Centered
Convinced that we exist both individually and corporately to bring glory to God, we desire our living motto to be, “It’s not about us. It’s all about God.” Scripture teaches that we were created “through Him and for Him.” (Col. 1:16) We are here for Him, not vice-versa.
Biblically-rooted
If we are to glorify God, then we must know Him. The Bible is where God has revealed Himself to us. Thus, a God-centered church will necessarily be a Scripture-saturated church. God’s word alone is authoritative and we intentionally pursue His truth in our Sunday meetings, care groups, counseling, fellowship, and outreach.
Gospel-focused
The Bible teaches that the gospel is of “first importance.” (1 Cor. 15:3-4) The gospel is the “good news” that Christ died as a substitute for sinners and was resurrected from the dead. As a church, we not only stress the urgency of the gospel message for unbelievers but for Christians as well. The gospel is not merely the entry point in the Christian life, but the source of ongoing life change as well. We seek to uphold the message of the cross as the centerpiece of our corporate worship services always emphasizing what He has done for us over what we have done (or failed to do) for Him.
Spirit-empowered
From our new birth to our future resurrection, we are dependent upon the power of the Holy Spirit. CLF seeks to honor the broad ministry of the Holy Spirit acknowledging our need for Him in all things. We also value Spirit-led, expressive, passionate corporate worship.
Relationally-joined
The church is not merely a collection of individuals but a family that God joins together through the gospel and by the Spirit. We approach all of church life with an accent on relationships.
