Josh Montague serves as the Director of Expository Training with Training Leaders International (TLI), which seeks to strengthen local churches around the world by sending teachers to train the church’s leaders. Over the last 10 years, Josh has taught and trained in over 20 countries around the world. Currently, he’s working to train Sovereign Grace pastors in the Philippines.

Josh grew up in Michigan, where he met his wife, Mary Ann, while in high school. After finishing his undergraduate from Michigan State University, Josh and Mary Ann married and moved to Portland, OR, where Josh completed his M.Div. Josh then pastored in Michigan and Wisconsin for 15 years before joining TLI and relocating to Minneapolis. Josh and his wife, Mary Ann, have been married for 27 years and have 4 children (22, 20, 18, and 16).

The Montagues are members of Cross of Grace Church, a Sovereign Grace church in Chaska, MN. Josh recently completed his doctoral work through Western Seminary, focusing on training less literate pastors in expository preaching. When he’s not teaching overseas, you’ll likely find Josh cheering on his beloved Spartans or roaming the lakes and woods of northern Minnesota in a canoe.
