Scripture: Matthew 5:13–16

In this sermon from Gospel of Matthew 5:13–16, Jesus uses two powerful images—salt and light—to describe the identity and influence of His people in the world. Christians are not called to blend in, but to stand out—preserving what is good, exposing what is true, and shining with the light of Christ in a darkened world. What does it mean to be the “salt of the earth”? How can we live as the “light of the world” in everyday life? What happens when believers lose their distinctiveness? Jesus reminds us that our lives are meant to point beyond ourselves—so that others may see and glorify our Father in heaven.

Big Idea: Those who belong to Jesus are called to live distinctly in the world, reflecting His truth and goodness so that God is glorified.
