Children's Ministry

Welcome to CLF Kids

At CLF, we believe children are a precious gift from the Lord and a vital part of our church family. Our Children’s Ministry exists to partner with parents in helping kids know and love Jesus. Each class is designed to teach the truth of God’s Word in age-appropriate ways while creating a safe and joyful place to learn and grow.

Children’s Ministry Overview

Teaching Theology and Having Fun Doing It

We provide Sunday School classes during the worship service, beginning right after the singing portion. Families are welcome to keep their children with them in the service or bring them to class.

  • Ages 0–23 months – Loving nursery care with simple songs and Bible truths
  • Ages 2–3 ½ – Foundational stories from Scripture, crafts, and prayer
  • Pre-K (3 ½–4) – Learning about God through songs, stories, and hands-on activities
  • Kindergarten/1st Grade – Building Gospel understanding through interactive lessons and memory verses
  • 2nd/3rd Grade – Digging deeper into God’s Word and how it applies to daily life
  • 4th/5th Grade – Preparing older kids to live out their faith with solid biblical teaching and group discussion

Each class is tailored to help children understand God’s Word in engaging and age-specific ways, while being cared for by trained and loving volunteers.

Partinering with Parents

Walking Together in the Discipleship Journey

We believe parents are the primary disciplers of their children. Our Children’s Ministry is here to come alongside you with encouragement, resources, and a church family committed to walking with you as you raise your children in the Lord.

Safety & Care

A Secure and Loving Environment

Your child’s safety is our priority. All teachers and volunteers are trained and background-checked. We maintain secure check-in and check-out procedures to ensure peace of mind for parents.

Frequently Asked Question

Ask Away

Parents may remain in class for up to 5 minutes to help their child adjust. After that, we ask parents to return to the service so that children can fully engage in the class and build confidence with our teachers and volunteers.

Yes. All of our children’s ministry volunteers go through an application process, reference checks, and a background check. We also provide training to ensure every child is cared for in a safe, secure, and Christ-centered environment.

We are very mindful of allergies and do not regularly provide snacks or food in our children’s classes. On special occasions when a treat is offered, we post it clearly and let parents know in advance. If your child has specific allergies or needs, please let our volunteers know so we can best care for them.

If your child becomes upset or needs you, we’ll notify you by first presenting your family’s number on the projection screen during our corporate gathering. If needed, we may also text you or send a volunteer to find you. Your child’s comfort and security are always our priority.

When you arrive, stop by the children’s ministry check-in area. Our volunteers will help you get set up with secure name tags for your child and a matching pick-up tag for you.

Yes! Our nursery (ages 0–2) is available during the service, with loving volunteers who provide safe care, songs, and simple truths from God’s Word.
