The Bible gives abundant examples of how the gospel is transferred from generation to generation. In 2 Timothy 1:5, Paul reminds Timothy “of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now I am sure, dwells in you as well.” Throughout the Bible, God gives instructions on how we can share the gospel with the next generation. In Deuteronomy 6, the Israelites are told to teach their children while just doing life together as a family. We read that parents were to share the gospel with their children while hanging out at home, walking with them, putting them to bed, and waking them up in the morning. In the second chapter of Titus, Paul specifies that a generational transfer should be intentional and relational, taking on a mentorship-type feel. He instructs older women to be godly examples and to help train the younger women in the ways of the Lord.
Our hope is that our weekend together, with Susan, will encourage us to sew the seeds of the gospel into the next generation and generations to come.

A Christian Church serving God’s people in Roseburg, Oregon. Life at Covenant Life Fellowship is much more than just Sunday mornings. With community groups, study groups, classes, and more, there are plenty of ways be a part of our church-family. Taking care of God’s people is our passion.
God the Father is the Creator of heaven and earth. By his word and for his glory, he freely and supernaturally created the world of nothing. Through the same Word he daily sustains all his creatures. He rules over all and is the only Sovereign. His plans and purposes cannot be thwarted. He is faithful to every promise, works all things together for good to those who love him, and in his unfathomable grace gave his Son Jesus Christ for mankind’s redemption. He made man for fellowship with himself, and intended that all creation should live to the praise of his glory.
Join us as we come together to honor and celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. This special gathering will include heartfelt worship, a brief message reflecting on the hope found in Christ, meaningful fellowship, and prayer as we rejoice in the gift of His coming.
