Description
The focus of this group will be on discipleship; on growing in Christlikeness (Romans 8:28-29). We will pursue this end, both for ourselves, and for others (Matthew 28:18-20). We will aim at doing so, in-community, through regular fellowship, time in God’s Word, discussion, and prayer (Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:24–25). Focusing on the application of God’s Word in our lives, we will often examine the weekly sermon by trying to draw out the important heart issues which so powerfully influence our actions and behavior (Prov 4:23; Matt 6:21; Luke 6:45). At times we will also study and discuss various discipleship topics, as well as common problems, such as anger, anxiety & fear, conflict, depression, Biblical decision making, and more (2 Tim 3:16-17).
