In this message from Matthew 5:7–9, we continue in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount and explore what it means to truly live as citizens of His kingdom. Jesus shows us that the Christian life is not just about outward behavior—but a transformed heart that overflows into how we treat others.
BIG IDEA: Christians are known by the way they treat others, because of what God has done in their hearts.
In this sermon, we look at three defining marks of a follower of Christ:
- Christians are full of mercy – because they have received mercy.
- Christians are pure in heart – pursuing holiness from the inside out.
- Christians are peacemakers – reflecting the reconciling work of Christ in a broken world.
As we walk through these Beatitudes, we’re reminded that this kind of life is only possible through the transforming grace of Jesus. 📖 Passage: Matthew 5:7–9 (ESV)
