Scripture: Matthew 6:1–15

What is God looking for when His people pray, give, and worship? In Matthew 6, Jesus confronts the temptation to perform our faith for the approval of others. He reminds us that the Christian life is not about religious showmanship, public recognition, or earning favor through outward acts. Instead, God invites His children into a genuine relationship with Him as their loving Father. In this message, we explore Jesus’ teaching on prayer, giving, and devotion through the lens of God’s fatherly care and affection. Big Idea: God is not impressed by religious performance, but delights in His children coming to Him as their Father. Whether you struggle with seeking approval from others, feel distant from God in prayer, or simply want to grow in your relationship with Him, this passage reminds us that our Father sees, knows, and welcomes His children.
