In Luke 7:36–50, Jesus enters the home of a Pharisee and encounters a woman whose response to Him could not be more different from that of her host. Through this powerful moment, Jesus reveals an important truth: those who understand how deeply they have been forgiven will respond with deep love for Him—and that grace will change the way they see and treat others. We are all debtors. None of us comes to Jesus with something to offer or a reason to boast. We come needing grace.
