In John 4, Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at a well—someone carrying a complicated past, deep spiritual thirst, and plenty of reasons to keep her distance. But Jesus does not avoid her. He crosses cultural barriers, exposes the truth about her life, and offers something she could never find on her own: living water. This encounter reminds us that Jesus knows us completely and still comes near. He does not merely address the surface problems of our lives; He goes after the deeper thirst of our hearts. And when we truly encounter Christ, everything changes. The woman who came to the well alone leaves telling an entire town: “Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ?” — John 4:29
In this message from John 4:1–42, we see that Jesus seeks the unlikely, speaks the truth with grace, and offers eternal life to everyone who will come to Him.
